Brandwise 3-Wheeler Sales Report For February 2025
According to the FADA monthly vehicle sales report, three-wheeler sales for February 2025 remained at 94,181 units, with a YoY decline of 1.9%, and the sales for February 2024 were 96,020 units. The sales were not in favour as expected; the festivals and the year-end depreciation benefits could lift retail sentiment across CV segments.
The FADA President, C S Vigneshwar, expressed, “The CV segment saw a modest YTD decline of 0.5%, retail sales dropped by 8.6% YoY. Dealers pointed to a challenging commercial environment, with weak sales in the transportation sector, tightening finance norms and pricing pressures delaying customer decisions—particularly in bulk orders and institutional contracts. While robust order bookings, notably in the tipper segment driven by increased government spending and steady supplies offered some relief, the prevailing negative sentiment and structural market shifts call for a more adaptive approach. There is optimism that the market will improve in March as dealers recalibrate their targets to better align with current demand.
