Tata Motors has launched a new commercial vehicle (CV) spare parts warehouse in Guwahati. This new unit will provide (CV) spare parts at Tata-authorised Service Stations in the North East. The advanced facility, which spans over 1 lakh square feet, is completely digitalized and supplies spare parts for the whole commercial vehicle portfolio.
Tata Motors uses smarter inventory management.
The warehouse will stock many cargo vehicles weighing less than one ton to 55 tonnes and 10-seater to 51-seater mass transportation solutions, including light commercial vehicles, pickup trucks, and buses.
At the launch of the warehouse, Vikram Agarwal, Head of Spares and Non-Vehicular Business, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, stated at the launch of the warehouse, “The new warehouse will enable smarter inventory management at Tata authorised Service Stations in the region, thereby improving service quality and vehicle uptime.” This new facility brings us closer to our consumers in the rapidly expanding North East region, improving logistics efficiency.”
Tata Motors has teamed up with Delivery to use its technology-enabled warehousing and transportation capabilities. The facility also features cutting-edge storage technologies that suit a variety of applications, such as gravity spiral and vertical reciprocating conveyors. In addition, a specialised space for processing medium and heavy vehicle body pieces has been integrated to facilitate smooth operations. The recently established Tata Motors warehouse will allow for more effective inventory management at Tata authorised Service Stations.
