Exponent Energy is a Bengaluru-based energy-tech firm that has now forayed into the three-wheeler electric-vehicle retail space with its first store in Bengaluru.

At the new ESP Store in Laggere, Nandini Layout, the company showcases the full range of “Exponent-enabled” electric three-wheelers. The store also doubles as a retrofit centre where existing passenger three-wheelers, running on CNG or LPG, can be converted into EVs.

Drivers who visit the store can see the vehicles on display, go for a test drive, and watch demonstrations of the firm’s rapid-charging technology, which claims 0–100% charging in approximately 15 minutes. Those who opt for retrofit can drop off their existing auto and collect a fully electrified version in about 24 hours.

Exponent has so far launched five variants of three-wheelers with the help of OEMs such as Montra Electric (of the Murugappa Group) and Kinetic Green. The vehicles are sold with financing support, minimal documentation, and a warranty for either five years or 3,000 charging cycles.

Looking ahead, Exponent plans to open over 15 such ESP-stores in Bengaluru by the end of fiscal year 2026.

This move extends Exponent’s latest foray into the EV retrofit business through its proprietary retrofit technology, Exponent Oto, which seeks to convert ICE three-wheelers to EVs at scale and aims to accelerate faster and broader EV adoption.
