Hyundai’s micro-mobility vehicle architecture is expected to be shared with Indian automakers, just as the Indian company has access to BMW’s architecture under its two-wheeler manufacturing tie-up with the German brand. Hyundai will oversee the design and technology, and TVS Motor will focus on local manufacturing. The collaboration aims to create a high-quality electric three-wheeler that meets the needs of the Indian market. Hyundai Motor and TVS Motor have not clarified the developments related to this potential partnership.
Hyundai may also set up its app-based Shucle ride pooling platform in India. It was launched in South Korea in 2021. It is a demand-based set-up that offers service based on real-time requirements. If it is launched in India, Shucle will assist Hyundai in instituting an authoritative position in the market for this sector.
