Bajaj Auto to Introduce ‘Bajaj GoGo’ Brand for Electric 3-Wheelers

Bajaj Auto Limited, a leading Indian automobile company, has introduced a new brand for its electric 3-wheelers, Bajaj GoGo. This step will strengthen its identity in the growing electric vehicle segment. The brand will cover cargo and passenger categories and confirm the market through this new product. The launch date of the brand is yet to be announced.

Significance of the Launch of ‘Bajaj GoGo’:

The company will also introduce another electric three-wheeler soon. This new launch of electric 3-wheelers is significant as with this launch and the ‘Bajaj GoGo’ brand, Bajaj Auto aims to enhance its market share in this segment by the end of the 4th quarter of FY24-25. Bajaj Auto’s Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma, expressed that Bajaj GoGo will allow the company to set a strong presence in the electric 3-wheeler vehicle segment. This strategic move will help distinguish Bajaj’s products from those of competitors and expand its market reach.

Bajaj Auto Industry Insight For 3-Wheelers:

The company has already made notable progress in the electric commercial vehicle market. Its market share grew from 30% last year to 35% in the Oct-Dec quarter. Additionally, Bajaj Auto expanded its three-wheeler dealership network from 600 to 850 touchpoints, improving customer accessibility. The Indian three-wheeler industry saw a substantial sales volume in 2024. Vahan data indicates that 12.21 lakh three-wheelers were sold across different fuel types, including petrol, diesel, CNG, LPG, and electric. Notably, electric three-wheelers accounted for 691,323 units, making up 56% of the total sales. Three-wheelers are the leading three top producers in this sector, including Bajaj Auto, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, and YC Electric.

However, Bajaj Auto has gained the throne with new products and a strengthened dealer network. Regarding selling three-wheelers, Bajaj Auto’s total sales remained miles above the competition. In 2024, the firm had a sales of three-wheelers at 438,941 units, whereas Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd sales were much lower at 93,731 units and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s sales comprised 76,450 units.
