International Tractors Limited has introduced the Solis JP 975, the first model in its new JP series built for Indian agricultural demand. The tractor for the “Viksit Kisan” segment enters the market with engineering meant to support progressive farming practices.

At the core sits a JP Tech 4-cylinder engine, which provides up to 205 Nm torque. This figure marks roughly a 10 percent rise over comparable units, giving the tractor stronger pull under heavy workloads. The engine, tuned for endurance, tries to balance power with fuel economy during extended field operations.

The engine is supported by a 15F+5R epicyclic transmission, claimed by the company to be India’s first in its class. Its side-shift layout places gear changes near and easy to reach, while the range of fifteen forward and five reverse gears enables operators to adjust speed to various agricultural activities. A Smart Shuttle system allows ease of directional shifts during loader and other repetitive field moves.

Solis also equips the tractor with a ladder-type chassis, meant to cut vibration and reduce noise transfer. In this machine design, stability is emphasized in order to keep operator fatigue low during long working hours.

Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, said the launch is a move to push new tractor technologies towards Indian farmers. He said more models using the JP platform are planned over the next year.

Solis remains one of India’s leading tractor export brands, and the JP 975 aligns with the company’s plan to expand its domestic product line.
