NueGo Grows Electric Bus Network, Adds New Routes Across 120+ Cities

GreenCell Mobility is scaling its electric mobility vision. The firm has announced a huge pan-India expansion of its intercity electric bus brand, NueGo, after adding several new routes to connect more than 120 cities across the country.

Expansion focuses on high-demand intercity corridors. Newly launched routes include Chennai–Salem, Gurugram–Jaipur, Delhi–Lucknow, Bangalore–Mangalore, Vijayawada–Chennai, Vijayawada–Tirupati, Jaipur–Udaipur, and Pondicherry–Trichy. These connections address key business and leisure travel needs, while improving regional accessibility through clean transportation.

Devendra Chawla, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Greencell Mobility and NueGo, said such expansion is aligned squarely with the company’s long-term strategy. NueGo electric coaches are designed to assure a premium travel experience. Safety does not take a back seat. Every NueGo coach has to compulsorily undergo a line check for 25 safety points before leaving the depot, which are both electrical and mechanical in nature. Other onboard technology deployed includes CCTV surveillance, driver breath analyzers, real-time driver monitoring systems, and speed-limiting controls. These put together work to achieve consistent operational reliability.

From the performance perspective, the NueGo buses offer practical range efficiency. According to the company’s provided data, every single electric coach is able to travel as much as 250 kilometers on one charge, even when the air conditioning is on under traffic conditions.
