FADA 3-Wheeler and Tractor Sales Report For December’24 And CY24

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has recently released the 3-wheeler and tractor sales data for December’24 and CY24. 

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the tractor and 3-wheeler sales data for December 2024 and CY24. According to this report, the sales in these segments increased by 2.5% and 10.4% respectively. 

The 3-wheeler segment grew by 9.1% YoY despite obstacles like extreme weather, elections and uneven monsoons. The 3-wheeler and tractor segment has achieved new heights in the CY24. 

FADA Tractor Sales Report For CY24:

According to the FADA vehicle sales report, the sales of tractors in the calendar year 2024 remained at 8,94,112, with an increase of 2.55%; in the previous year, the total sales of tractors were 8,71,918. 

MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (TRACTOR) sold 2,08,878 tractors in 2024, which was 1,99,453 in CY 2023. The sales for MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (SWARAJ DIVISION) remained at 1,66,200 for CY 2024 and 1,53,992 in CY’23. INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LIMITED sold 1,17,013 in CY’24, it was 1,09,954 in the calendar year 2023.  TAFE LIMITED sold 1,03,182 tractors in CY’24, which was 1,03,244 in the calendar year 2023. 

The sales of tractors by ESCORTS KUBOTA LIMITED (AGRI MACHINERY GROUP) remained at  87,444 in CY’24, and it was 90,660 in CY’23. JOHN DEERE INDIA PVT LTD (TRACTOR DIVISION)  sold 67,219 units in 2024 and  64,917 in CY’23. EICHER TRACTORS sold 59,495 units in 2024 and  56,621 units in the calendar year 2023. CNH INDUSTRIAL (INDIA) PVT LTD sold 35,925 units in CY’24 and 35,214 in 2023. KUBOTA AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY INDIA PVT.LTD sold 16,343 units in 2024, and it was 18,864 in CY’23. The sales for other OEMs were  32,413 units in CY’24 and 38,999 units in CY’23.

FADA Tractor Sales Report For December’24:

According to the FADA monthly vehicle sales report, the sales of tractors in December’24 remained at 99,292, with an increase of 23.31%; in the previous month, the total sales of tractors were 80,519.

The sales of tractors for MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (TRACTOR) were 24,289 in December 2024, and 18,586 tractors were sold for the same month in 2023. MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED (SWARAJ DIVISION) sold 18,226 tractors in December 2024, and 14,384 were sold in December 2023. The sales figure for INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LIMITED was 12,766 in December 2024 instead of 11,350 in December 2023. TAFE LIMITED sold 11,555 tractors in December’24 compared to 8,059 in December’2023.

ESCORTS KUBOTA LIMITED (AGRI MACHINERY GROUP)  sold 9,252 in December 2024 and  8,160 in December 2023. 

The sales for EICHER TRACTORS have increased; they remained at 6,971 in December 2024 and 5,646 in December 2023. JOHN DEERE INDIA PVT LTD sold 6,351 tractors in December 2024 and  5,229 in December’23. CNH INDUSTRIAL (INDIA) PVT LTD sold 4,054 in December and 3,358 in the same month in 2023. KUBOTA AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY INDIA PVT.LTD. sold 1,488 tractors in December 2024 and  1,523 in December’23. The sales for Others remained at  4,340 in December 2024 and 2,649 for the same month in 2023.

FADA 3-Wheeler Sales Report For CY’24:

According to the FADA yearly vehicle sales report, the sales of 3-wheelers in the calendar year 2024 remained at 12,21,909, with an increase of 10.49%; in the previous year, the total sales of 3-Wheeler were 11,05,942.

The sales for BAJAJ AUTO LTD were 4,38,941 in CY’24 compared to 4,01,423 in CY’23. PIAGGIO VEHICLES PVT LTD sold total 93,731 in CY’24, which were 90,602 in the CY’23. MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED has total sales of 76,450 3W, in which MAHINDRA LAST MILE MOBILITY LTD sold 74,480 and MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED sold 1,970 3W; in the previous year, the combined sales were 60,076. 

YC ELECTRIC VEHICLE sold 43,979 3W in the CY’24; last year, sales were 40,812. SAERA ELECTRIC AUTO PVT LTD has achieved sales of 28,293 3W, which were 29,329 in CY’23. ATUL AUTO LTD sold 27,083 3w vehicles in the CY’24, which was 22,580 in the previous calendar year. DILLI ELECTRIC AUTO PVT LTD has declined; its sales were 25,043 in CY’24, which were 25,100 in CY’23. TVS MOTOR COMPANY LTD sold 23,376 in CY’24, which were 17,171 in CY’23. 

MINI METRO EV L.L.P sold 14,764 in CY’24, which was 15,961 in the previous year. The sales for UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL were 13,706 in CY’24, and this OEM sold 13,570 3W in the previous year. ENERGY ELECTRIC VEHICLES sold 13,389 in CY’24 which were 11,084 in CY’23. HOTAGE INDIA sold 12,489 3W in CY’24 and 12,839 in CY’23. The sales for Other OEMs, including EVs, were 4,10,665 in CY’24 and 3,65,395 in CY’23. 

FADA 3-Wheeler Sales Report For December’24:

According to the FADA monthly vehicle sales report, the sales of 3-wheelers in December’24 remained at 93,892, with a decrease of 13.33%; in the previous year, for the same month, the total sales of 3-wheelers were 98,384.

BAJAJ AUTO LTD sold 28,998 3W in December’24, which were 31,561 for the same month in 2023. PIAGGIO VEHICLES PVT LTD sold 6,469 3W in December’24, which were 7,869 in December 2023. MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED sold 6,469 3W in December’24; the sales were 5,904 in December 2023. YC ELECTRIC VEHICLE sold 3,800 in December’24; the sales were 3,818 in December 2023. ATUL AUTO LTD sold 2,229 in December’24; the sales were 1,940  in December’23. 

SAERA ELECTRIC AUTO PVT LTD sold 2,101 in December’24; the sales were 2,653 in December’23. DILLI ELECTRIC AUTO PVT LTD sold 2,061  in December’24; the sales were 2,290 in December’23. TVS MOTOR COMPANY LTD sold 1,909 3W in December’24; the sales were 1,605 in December’23. SAHNIANAND E VEHICLES PVT LTD sold 1,204 3W in December’24, and the sales were 704 in December’23. MINI METRO EV L.L.P sold 1,197 3W in December’24; the sales were 1,532  in December’23. 

ENERGY ELECTRIC VEHICLES sold 1,152 3-wheelers in December’24; the sales were 1,262  in December’23. J. S. AUTO (P) LTD  sold 1,038 3-wheelers in December’24; the sales were 1,155 for the same month in 2023. ZENIAK INNOVATION INDIA LTD sold 1,013 3-wheelers in December’24; the sales were 277 for the same month in 2023. SKS TRADE INDIA PVT LTD sold 989 3-wheelers in December’24; the sales were 1,081 for the same month in 2023. UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL sold 987 3-wheelers in December’24; the sales were 1,220  for the same month in 2023. For others, including EV sales, it was 32,594 in December 2024 and 33,513 in December 2023. 

The FADA President, C S Vigneshwar, stated that despite multiple headwinds in the calendar year 2024, including heatwaves, elections at both central and state levels and uneven monsoons, the auto retail industry remained resilient, closing the year with a 9% YoY growth. Meanwhile, the 3-Wheeler and Tractor segments grew by 10% and 2.5% YoY respectively. Remarkably, the 3-wheeler and Tractor segments touched new all-time highs.
