VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd Sales Report for April 2024: India

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd, a Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Joint Venture have released the sales numbers for April’24 and also a comparison of the performance with April’23. The report includes April’24 sales numbers of VOLVO and Eicher Motors individually and their comparison with April’23 along with bifurcation of domestic and export numbers for Eicher Motors during the same timeline. The report also covers sales in units across truck and bus categories for Eicher Truck & Bus.

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd Sales Report: Apr’23 Vs Apr’24

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd sales declined by 18.12% in April’24 compared to April’23. Sales of Volvo trucks & buses took the maximum hit with a decline of 26.79%. Eicher trucks and buses contributed the maximum sales on both occasions with 6,399 units in Apr’23 and 5,254 units in Apr’24. 

Eicher Motors Sales Report Domestic: April’23 Vs April’24

Sales declined by 20.25% for Eicher trucks & buses in April’24 compared to the same period last year. All categories saw negative growth in sales except heavy duty bus (HD BUS) which reported a growth in sales of 47.50% in Apr’24 compared to Apr’23. LMD trucks reported the highest number of sales in Apr’24 with 2,264 units. 

Eicher trucks and buses reported 38.52% export growth in Apr’24 compared to the same period last year. The bus category saw the maximum growth of 81.31% followed by HD trucks with 38.89%.
